Acceptable winter wear and theft!

Hello.  My title is going to keep me on track here with this post.  First things first.  Winter is on its way.  Provo/Orem likes to be fickle weather-wise for a couple more weeks here going back and forth between warm and cold.  Then it finally settles and gives in to winter.  I appreciate winter.  I'd much rather put more layers on than take layers off (you can only take so many clothes off you know.).  Anyway, there are a couple of winter wear items that I truly wish were acceptable.

 1. Lower half coat.  This would seem to make lots of sense.  I mean there are ways to make sure your bottom half is nice and warm, long underwear, tights, etc.  But what do you do when you come inside?  I have this problem a lot at school right now.  I go to school in scrubs which aren't the thickest material but if I wear long johns underneath, I get way to hot and end up having to run to the bathroom and remove them.  A bottom half coat would resolve this wuite easily but I hafta say, if I ever saw someone wearing snow pants to school, I would make fun of them.  A lot.  Heck, I would make fun of myself.

  2.  Nose warmer.  This would be a lot like ear warmers or other types of warmers except it would wrap around your face and only cover your nose.  My nose is always frozen during the winter, more so than any other part of my body (mostly because pretty much everything else is covered but still...).  This would be a fabulous winter wear item but as is the case with a lower half coat, it's completely hilarious.  You couldn't wear it without getting laughed at.  Sigh.

Ok, next thing to cover.  Nate and I had a bike that his brother, Ben gave us.  Granted we didn't use it all that often but it definitely came in handy.  Anyway, we parked it behind our complex's mailboxes.  The other day it was stolen, but there is now a new item on the porch, a small hot pink razor scooter.  Nathan thinks the thieves are more of "exchangers".  Dumb.  People shouldn't steal my things even if I don't use them that often!

Alright.  Now I must study.  I procrastinate too often.

Ta ta!

I think you should start these trends! If anyone could make them cool, its you. Do you walk to work or something?

Love your blog. Makes me shiver and feel pretty good about living in San Diego. The only thing I have to worry about here is the Santa Ana winds. Maybe the cold would be better? Enjoy your beautiful lace-painted trees. I always thought they were magical. Love, GS

I would love to see your new fashions!! :) I could have used both in school as well! We also had a bike stolen, but it was stolen from the Institute of all places! Oh well...I guess a good excuse to get a new one!
